Shriya gets her dream role in blockbuster Dhrishiyam remake

Undoubtedly, Mohanlal’s Drishyam was the top of all headlines in showbiz for the past one year and it was highly appreciated across the Indian film industry. Apparently, almost every industry started its remake versions that include Telugu with Venkatesh in lead character and Meena reprising her characterization as the house wife and mother of two children. Kamal Haasan’s Tamil remake would have Gauthami in the female lead and Nivedha Thomas of ‘Jilla ’ fame as their eldest daughter, directed by Jeetu Joseph who made the original version. Meanwhile, with Kannada remake rolling fast on the floors, Ajay Devgan has been signed for the lead role in Hindi remake and Shriya Charan will be playing his spouse. It’s a dream come true role for Shriya, who has been looking up for such a unique character.

Ganga is now Kanchana 2?

Sri Thenandal Films that released Pisaasu, will be going to release this horror flick as well. The date of release is tentatively fixed to April 10th. But the release date is not yet officially confirmed.

 Kanchana 2 is featured by Ragava Lawrence, Taapsee, Kovai Sarala and Devadarshini and many others in the cast list.

Anushka Signs Up for a Bilingual named "Size Zero"

Anushka has done up with the movies Rudhramadevi and Baahubali which are awaiting for its release dates. Now, she has signed up for a new movie which is a Bilingual flick of Tamil and Telugu titled "Size Zero".

 Arya, Bharath, and Urvashi plays important roles with Anushka playing the lead role. It seems Shruti Haasan is playing guest appearance in this movie. This Size Zero film is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, produced by PVP and the movie is scored by Keeravani! The movie launch was happened on 23rd of February in Hyderabad!

Uttama Villain sound mixer wins Oscar for Best Sound Mixing

Craig Mann, the sound re-recording mixer of Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain, has bagged an Oscar for Best Sound Mixing for his achingly beautiful drumming work for the film Whiplash by beating other tough contenders. For Uttama Villain, Craig Mann has worked with Kunal Rajan, Kamal Haasan’s regular collaborator and the sound designer the film.

 Directed by Ramesh Aravind and produced by Thirupathi Brothers, Uttama Villain is slated for release on April 2nd. The audio composed by Ghibran will be released on March 1st.

The actor on his micro-blogging page has written that March is going to be really hectic and more engaging. He is now busy wrapping up with the dubbing for ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’ followed by the shoot with Gautham Vasudev Menon’s untitled film and a song shoot for Vaalu. Well, apart from these busy schedules, there will be couple of audio launches – Idhu Namma Aalu and Vaalu simultaneously.

 Idhu Namma Aalu is directed by Pasanga Pandiraj and is produced by STR under the banner of Chimbu Cine Arts. The film is scheduled to hit screens in May as summer vacation treat. Silambarasan – Gautham Vasudev Menon project wouldn’t take a long time to complete as there are only 50% left to be completed.

Vijay60th Movie directed by KV Anand

Post the roaring success of ‘Anegan’, looks like director KV Anand is gearing up for his next.

 It’s a well-known fact that he approached Vijay for ‘Anegan’ before Dhanush, but the deal dint happen owing to lack of dates. However, it looks like the director doesn’t give up easily. He has already approached Vijay with a fresh script and got the ‘Yes’ nod. Reportedly, this project is produced by Kalapathi.S.Aghoram and talks reveal that, Nayantara and Anushka Shetty will also play important roles in this project. Harris Jayaraj is buzzed to be doing the music.


 The official confirmation about the ladies has not arrived yet, however it’s confirmed that KV will direct Vijay60.

 Meanwhile, Vijay is busy with his next movie "Puli" directed by Chimbu Devan. It is a mega-budget project produced by Shibu of Thameen Films and PT Selvakumar. "Puli" is expected to hit the screens in July 2015. After the completion of this film, he will be heading for an untitled film directed by Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame.

 It is only after the completion of these two movies that Ilayathalapathy will be starting KV Anand's film.

It has been officially confirmed by the close sources that the shooting for Singam 3 will be hitting floors instantly Suriya completes his next project titled ‘24’ directed by Vikram Kumar of ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ fame. The film will continue from the climax of previous one and almost the same in the cast will be retained, which somehow is yet to be confirmed by the crew members. The film will be produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green and what’s special is Anirudh signed up to compose music. Of course, it is surely gonna give a special look for this flick with the young and happening musical icon getting on board.

Prabhu Deva to remake ‘Temper’ with Salman Khan in Bollywood

Choreographer-actor turned filmmaker Prabhu Deva had tasted success in Bollywood consistently with back to back blockbusters, but somewhere his career graph stuck down with the disastrous remake of ‘Dookudu’ titled ‘Action Jackson’ that starred Ajay Devgan in lead role. While his next outing with Akshay Kumar titled ‘Singh is Bling’ is all set to go on floors shortly, the buzz is strong that he might be remaking the recent blockbuster Telugu hit ‘Temper’, directed by Puri Jaganath that starred Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles.

 The film has been faring well in box office run in spite of third week and it has gradually drew every producer down the south and north to acquire the remake rights. With everything happening with positive news, we hear that Prabhu Deva might direct Salman Khan in this remake titled ‘Wanted 2’, although the duo had earlier mentioned that the sequel of ‘Wanted’ would be a fresh script. It is worth mentioning that Prabhu Deva’s ‘Wanted’ was a remake of Puri Jaganath’s Telugu blockbuster ‘Pokkiri’.

Udhayanidhi Stalin & Amy Jackson romance in Kochi

It looks like, producer-turned-actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has decided not to let go off with the acting spree and is continuously working on more projects. Laced with humour and some thrill elements, his upcoming film Nanbenda will be hitting screens on April 2. Much prior to the results or any such after effects, the actor has started wearing the grease paint for his next film tentatively titled ‘Gethu’. The film will be a family drama with a right blend of fun, emotions, action and sentiments.

Much alike Udhay’s Idhu Kathiravelan Kadhal, there would be more prominence for father-son relationship. Amy Jackson as mentioned or known earlier plays a traditional family girl and Sathyaraj as Udhayanidhi’s father. The close sources reveal that the entire crew will be leaving for Cochin shortly for the first schedule of this film and they’ll shoot for a long stretch of 25 Days. Thirukumaran who had a wonderful raving praises for his maiden debut of ‘Maan Karate’ helms this project, produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s home banner of Red Giant Movies.

'Oh Kadhal Kanmani', for April release

Kollyinsider Mani Ratnam’s Okay Kanmani is renamed as 'Oh Kadhal Kanmani'.

It was reported that the romantic film would be releasing in the month of April. Now, the film makers have been confirming the release date of the film with paper ad.

Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon in the lead. Music is by AR Rahman, cinematography by PC Sreeram and produced by Ratnam’s production house Madras Talkies. Okay Kanmani will be simultaneously released in Tamil and Malayalam and will also be dubbed in Telugu as Okay Bangaram. Leela Samson and Kanika are playing prominent roles in the film. The shoot of the movie is complete and it is currently in post production stage.

The film is said to be a breezy romantic tale on the lines of the director's Alaipayuthey. The film has completed its shoot and is in post production stage now. Sources aver that Mani Ratnam wants the film to be a summer 2015 release. OK Kanmani is keenly awaited by Mani Ratnam's fans all over.

The audio launch of the movie is expected to take place soon and the film may be released on April 10th.
